On April 24, 2025, the finals of the Asian Mountain Bike Championships Downhill Event—the highest-level MTB competition in Asia—officially commenced at the Sanba Reservoir Professional Training Base in Xinpu New District, Zunyi. The event brought together 46 top riders from 15 Asian countries and regions, who competed on a challenging karst-terrain course featuring sharp turns, steep slopes, and natural obstacles, creating an intense showdown of speed and technical skill.

Following fierce competition in the qualifying rounds on the 23rd, a total of 11 Chinese riders advanced to the finals, including Leichten-sponsored athlete Rong Kang. Facing strong competition from Asia's top riders, Rong Kang ultimately secured 13th place, showcasing the competitive level of China's downhill riders. As the highest-tier event certified by the Asian Cycling Confederation, this championship not only tested riders' technical abilities but also served as a platform to display the development of mountain biking across participating nations.
